Laura Beatriz Montanaro was born in Montevideo, Uruguay. In her adolescence she attended the Escuela de Artes Aplicadas. Later she completed her studies of Psychology, being developed in the clinical and psycho-social scope.
She has attended diverse ateliers, until she has entered to the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes, having to leave her formation when being transferred to Argentina where she resides at the present time. She continues her formation in the atelier of Plastic Experimentation and Color of Heriberto Zorrilla and Helena Distéfano. At the moment she attends the atelier of the teacher Jorge Kleiman.
During 2005 she has participated in collective exhibitions and from 2006 in art aids. Her artworks are in deprived collections of Spain, Uruguay and Argentina and have illustrated covers of didactic materials elaborated by the Fundación Social Aplicada al Trabajo.
